Hi, Emily Angwin! I’m an international news anchor, journalist, and event moderator. I’m currently completing a Masters of International Relations at Queen Mary University of London and preparing to move to Malaysia with my family.
I’ve worked in the Middle East, Asia and Australia, as well as been deployed to South Africa and Brazil.
I’m a freelance reporter in the Philippines, as I’m currently based in Manila, but headed to Kuala Lumpur in early 2025 - so watch this space!
Before spending time in Asia, I was a Senior Anchor for Al Jazeera English in Doha, Qatar where I hosted the News Hour, Inside Story and daily bulletins.
I’m a passionate storyteller and communicator and began my media career in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia and now have 17 years of broadcast experience spanning three continents.
